Food Journal // Cornerstone Bar & Food

Hi everyone, hope you all had an amazing week so far!

So last Sunday, me and my girlfriends visited this place called Cornerstone Bar and Food. Thanks to Instagram which finally brought me here (who didn't use Instagram to spot a good place these days?!). The restaurant is like a hidden gem within the Carriageworks precinct, which located behind the Eveleigh Markets. First thing you notice wouldn't be the sign but this huge industrial building after you walk down the stairs.

[Just FYI, Carriageworks also provide a huge space which can be used for art space, runway (fashion show), concert, and theatrical show. Currently, they are celebrating the contemporary arts event: 19 Biennale of Sydney.]

What's inside: Industrial Space + Woody Vintage Fittings + Green Succulent Plant.

Every Sunday, they serve the "New York Brunch" menu.
We ordered these 3 dishes from the list:
Toasted Bagel w/ Smoked Salmon & Avocado topped with Soft Egg & Hollandaise - $16

Corned Beef Hash with Poached Eggs, in a Skillet - $14

Southern Fried Chicken, Coleslaw, & Chipotle Mayo - $18

Skinny Cappuccino (Little Marrionette Espresso) - $4

After waiting for almost half an hour, finally the food served onto our table. I must say the bomb is the fried chicken. Finger-licking delicious taste! The best fried chicken I've ever had. Just as the Drops of Jupiter song lyrics says: Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken?! The smoked salmon bagel is basically an egg benny but they serve it with a bagel instead of bread. Even though it looks like a little portion, as usual, very fulfilling. I also tasted the beef hash that my friend ordered for just a bit. In my opinion, the taste was just okay probably because I ate that after digging in the yummo and succulent fried chicken. Forgive me. But it still does taste good though. And for those who like to drink, they also serve drinks on the bar throughout the day.

Beautiful and well-arranged outdoor space. It feels like you are having a garden party.

Outfit post tomorrow!

I am planning to write the fashion and food posts alternately. What do you think? Please let me know by leaving your comment below :)

Thank you so much for reading
Have a lovely weekend peeps!
